From event to synchronized lead

DRADEO connects web preparation with mobile capture at the trade-show booth. This guide explains the current beta flow, with clear distinctions between preparation, capture, local storage and confirmed synchronization.

1. Prepare the event

Organization admins create organizations and events. Organization admins or assigned event admins configure the lead form, badge template and texts for optional contact preferences and assign the team to the event.

2. Load the event

The iOS app loads assigned events only. An event is ready offline after its form, badge, contact preferences and required assets have been stored completely and together on the device.

3. Capture a badge

The camera and Apple Vision recognize text on-device in the configured badge areas. Every value remains a suggestion until it has been reviewed or corrected. Manual entry is always available.

4. Qualify the contact

The published lead form guides users through the event questions. Optional contact and newsletter preferences are requested separately and are never preselected. A recorded preference does not automatically authorize marketing; the contact can still be stored without one.

5. Store locally

The lead, answers, optional note and recorded contact decisions are first stored together on the device. This step does not require an active server connection.

6. Synchronize and export

When connected, the app transfers pending data in a repeatable way. The status changes to “Synchronized” only after server confirmation. Authorized admins then manage and export leads on the web.

Roles and permissions

Organization admins manage their organization, users and events. Event admins configure and export their assigned events. Event users capture and qualify leads in assigned events; by default, the current scope lets them see their own leads and does not let them create exports.

Work offline and understand status

“Stored locally” and “Synchronized” are different states. A fully prepared and still authorized event can be used temporarily without a network. The app keeps pending operations and retries transfer when connected. Conflicting versions are never overwritten silently.

OCR and business cards

In builds where they are enabled, badge OCR and the plan-dependent business-card mode provide suggestions with source and confidence. Email, phone and web addresses are checked using deterministic patterns. Additional AI mapping for ambiguous OCR lines is in development and is not an availability promise. Manual confirmation remains mandatory. Compare badge and business-card OCR.

Contact preferences and privacy

Optional contact preferences are documented separately from contact data with their purpose, text version, language, method, status and time. This record alone does not automatically authorize marketing or newsletters. Badge and business-card images are not uploaded to the server by default for normal recognition. Never send real visitor data or images to support.

Frequently asked questions

What does “Stored locally” mean?

The lead is safely held on this device. Its status becomes “Synchronized” only after server confirmation.

Can capture work offline?

Yes, if the event was loaded completely beforehand and offline authorization still applies. Synchronization follows when a connection is available.

Does OCR decide automatically?

No. Recognized values are suggestions and must be reviewed. DRADEO does not invent missing email addresses or phone numbers.

Who can export?

Organization admins and assigned event admins can create CSV and XLSX exports within their permitted scope.
