Capture a badge and review details
Good alignment and light improve OCR suggestions; final review always remains a human task.
Who this is for
Capture users at the booth
Before you start
The event is loaded, ready offline and badge mode is configured for this event.
Steps
- Keep the whole badge steady and free from glare inside the guide.
- Wait for automatic capture or use the manual camera button.
- Review every recognized value and correct missing or wrongly assigned details.
- If first and last name are swapped, use the swap action or enter the contact entirely by hand.
Expected result
Confirmed contact values move into the lead form; the photo remains temporary on this device.
If it does not work
- Retake the photo if it is blurred, reflective or cuts off the badge.
- An empty area stays empty until a person completes it; DRADEO does not invent an email address.
- For repeated mapping errors, review the badge template and field zones in Badge Studio.
What DRADEO does not do automatically
OCR values are suggestions. Image recognition alone never confirms, stores or synchronizes a contact.
